Check that the roof is watertight, the walls are sound and there are no obvious signs of water ingress. Any repairs should be completed first, as lining a concrete garage is most effective when the structure itself is dry and weatherproof.

Good ventilation remains essential. Even a well-insulated concrete garage benefits from a steady flow of fresh air to help control moisture and maintain a healthy environment. Having windows or adding suitable ventilation can make the space feel much more comfortable.
Finally, don’t forget lighting and electrics. Once the walls are lined, it’s the ideal opportunity to install additional sockets and brighter lighting, transforming your concrete garage into a practical, comfortable and versatile extension of your home that can be enjoyed in every season.
